TEST COMPONENT
Our clients asked us to machine a test component using differrent machining methods and configurations. We used constant Z routines with fixed tool vectors for the top face and "free" tool vectors for the vertical faces (let the robot decide its orientation) The rough routines were with a 10mm endmill. The holes and slots were with a 6mm endmill. The finish pass for the curve was with 10mm ball and a 0.25 stepover. This video also shows the DELCAM Powermill Robot Interface simulating toolpaths in these different user configurations.
